Robin is a PhD student in the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology. His interests concern how plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) benefit plants, specifically grain crops. Plant-microbe interactions are diverse, and many benefit plants by increasing tolerance to stresses such as drought or nutrient limitation. Through an understanding of their fundamental biology, Robin hopes to help leverage these relationships in support of environmental stewardship.
