Congratulations to Patrick Shih, assistant professor in the Department of Plant & Microbial Biology, for being named the 2025 recipient of the Charles Albert Shull Award.
The Charles Albert Shull Award is part of a series of awards given by the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB), which honors distinguished researchers for their service, outreach, education, and research in plant biology. Established by the Society in 1971 to honor Dr. Charles A. Shull's instrumental role in its founding and early development, this annual monetary award recognizes outstanding research in plant biology by a member who is generally under 45 years old at the time of presentation or within ten years of receiving their doctorate.
PMB faculty members Sheng Luan, Krishna Nyogi, and Sabeeha Merchant are past recipients of the award.
