Special Lecture featuring Dr. Jeremy A. Bruenn, Department of Biological Studies, State University of New York, Buffalo
Plant & Microbial Biology Special Seminar - Friday 3/08 - 3-4 pm - 338 Koshland Hall
Jeremy A. Bruenn is a Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the State University of New York in Buffalo. Bruenn specializes in molecular virology and received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1970.
The Bruenn lab is currently studying translational frameshifting and its dependence on RNA pseudoknots, as well as the RNAprotein and proteinprotein interactions required for packaging. The lab is also investigating the feasibility of producing fungus resistant crop plants by virtue of expression of the Ustilago toxins.
